Implied Warranties:

Drexel expressly disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability and any implied warranty that the goods are fit for any particular purpose. By implied warranties, Drexel references warranties that the law sometimes implies to have been given by the seller even though they are not documented in writing. Drexel assumes no responsibility for incidental or consequential damages or expenses of any other nature whatsoever arising out of the use or inability to use this product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage so this limitation may not apply to you. This warranty is non-transferable.

Place of Purchase and Purchaser:

This limited warranty applies to first quality Drexel furniture that has been purchased from an authorized Drexel dealer. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is not transferable. Warranty begins from date of delivery to the consumer.

Product Modifications:

Any modification or alteration of Drexel products by the consumer or any other parties not authorized by Drexel will void this warranty.

Household Use:

This warranty only applies under conditions of normal residential usage in a climate controlled environment. This warranty excludes commercial usage which includes rental, business, commercial, institutional or other non-residential use.

Damages:

Damage that occurs during transportation, delivery or storage before delivery is excluded from this warranty. These damages are not manufacturing defects and should be addressed by your authorized Drexel dealer.

Improper Care and Use, Accidents, Abuse and Normal Wear & Tear:

Proper care and usage are essential to preserving your rights under this warranty. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from neglect, abuse, misuse, normal wear and tear, accidents or storage; including (but not limited to) burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations or pet damage. Any furniture that, in our opinion, has been abused or mistreated will not be covered by this warranty. Warranty does not include fading or stains from spills such as (but not limited to) acids, solvents, dies, ink, paint or other corrosive chemicals or bodily fluids. We caution consumers against improper cleaning, application of chemical products, and exposure to sunlight, bright lights or extreme heat or cold. Items so exposed are not protected under this warranty. This warranty does not apply if your merchandise is damaged by the use of detergents, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents, improper or inadequate maintenance. Please visit our website at www.drexel-furniture.com for care instructions.

As-Is Purchases:

This warranty does not cover floor samples or other products designated “as is” or “final sale” at time of purchase.

Variations from Floor Samples or Literature:

Because of the craftsmanship involved and the natural materials used in the manufacturing process, minor and normal variations can occur from piece to piece. Therefore, this warranty does not cover such minor differences between floor samples, finish samples, printed or website illustrations and the furniture which is delivered. If any model or sample is shown to buyer, such model or sample is used merely to illustrate the general type and quality of goods, and not to represent that goods supplied to buyer will necessarily conform in all aspects to the sample or model. Color and finish perception can vary depending on lighting and surrounding colors and therefore is not considered a defect.

Your Warranty Rights:

This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Except for such other rights, the remedies provided under this warranty state the limit of the responsibilities of Drexel. UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, DREXEL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE REMEDY AND WILL EITHER REPA IR OR REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE ITEM OR PARTS including any defects in newly delivered items. If an item is discontinued, Drexel may replace it with a similar item not to exceed the price of the original item. Drexel cannot provide refunds. All warranty claims must be presented to the authorized Drexel dealer of original purchase along with dated proof of purchase and delivery receipt. If your Drexel dealer is no longer in business, please contact consumermarketing@drexel.com. All correspondence must include a copy of original sales order/receipt along with a photograph(s) of the issue.

WOOD PRODUCTS:

Warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Although Drexel wood furniture is finished and sealed, sunlight and heat, as well as humidity and liquid, can harm it and/or change its appearance. Also, fluctuating temperatures cause wood to swell and shrink, so an environment with consistent temperature/humidity is recommended. Never place anything hot onto a wooden surface as it can cause discoloration. Keep wooden furniture away from air vents, humidifiers and fireplaces, as well as direct sunlight. All can have drying and/or bleaching effects. Use felt pads on the bottom of items or accessories with rubber bases, feet or bottoms to protect your finish. Drexel has captured the essence of historic artistry in our mahogany collections using beautiful crotch and figured mahogany solids and veneers. As wood ages, it often develops small hairline checks/cracks that emulate the character of antiques. This phenomenon is a characteristic of wood as a product of nature. In no way does it harm or interfere with the beauty, life expectancy or usefulness of the furniture.
